A new start ! a new me!!

Today I decided to do a juice fast/eating only fruits and veggies. It's 5 days only eating fruits and veggies and 5 days only drinking the juice. I plan on doing this for 30-60 days. If you haven't seen "Fat, sick and nearly dead" I highly recommend it. Its an amazing experience! <3 Updates daily/weekly.

I'm excited!

2.9pds lost in four days!

2.9pds lost in four days!

Not to shabby if I do say so myself. I am pretty proud of myself. It's amazing what can be done when I put 100% into my health and think before I eat. I still have a long way to go and I do need to exercise more. My blood sugars are still pretty high (yes if you didn't know I am a diabetic). I really need to work on getting them down to a healthy range.

Today I looked up recipes  for next week. I think its going to be fun! I have a few things picked out for lunch that are Vietnamese style meals but I am pretty excited to play with different ingredients! It reminds me of my Grandma Xoung (yes shes Vietnamese). I remember when I was a kid and my mom use to take us kids out to 38th Street in Tacoma, Wa. Its basically like "China Town" but only Vietnamese style! They have these amazing sandwiches and I'm pretty sure I found the recipe! As I think of the fun times we had with my mom and Grandma Xoung it makes me wanna cry! I miss them and am totally home sick!!

Anyways keep an eye out for more weight up dates and with every pound loss is another step closer I get towards making our babies!!!

Whats the first step to having a baby???!

Whats the first step to having a baby??
I think in my case if I want to get pregnant I need to lose weight. At this point my body is just starting to work correctly. I've had my period (for 3 months straight) and I want to keep it working and looking forward to better things. Everything I read, and every doctor I talk to tell me I need to cut down on sweets and bread. It's soooo hard for me to give up bread! But, I'm willing to do anything for a baby!!
This morning I woke up and ate a bad breakfast. I have a way of forgetting what I need to do from the time I wake up until I go to bed. It's like I am still 1/2 asleep when I eat breakfast. The goal is: to wait 30 mins after waking up before I eat. That way I am more aware of what I put in my mouth!

The fittness goal: to walk to work from now on (when weather permits). Its going to be interesting because I work almost four miles from where I live!

This has got to happen or I am going to stay fat forever and never experience having a child!

This morning I worked out on my Wii Fit for 12 mintues! Its a great way to a good start!!! YAY ME!! I won't be walking to work today for the simple fact I need to take Grandma her car... but without a car I have no choice but to walk!

Love- Jessica

Introduction

Before I start let me introduce myself. . .
My name is Jessica Hope Lynn Siverly. Thats my full name but most people call me Jessi.
When I was younger and asked what i  wanted to be when I grow up? I would say "a mommy". It's all I ever wanted. When my siblings were born... I mothered them. I would hold them, dress them, and rock them (keep in mind I was only 2-5 years old). Unfortantly when I was about 15 I learned I may never have kids. . .
I have a medical issue by the name of Polycystic Overian Syndrom (PCOS). When I first learned I had PCOS the doctors couldn't really tell me what it was, how to deal with it or where to go for help. My dad had custody of us and he didn't know how to deal with news so he just ignored it and moved on. It wasn't so easy for me to move on... I was different then most girls my age. They were dealing with boys, hormonal changes, periods, and birthcontrol... while I was dealing with body hair on the face, chest, and stomach...the lack of periods, and the only reason I was on birth control was because the doctor wanted to try and correct my menstral period. My dad hated the fact I was on birth control and I didn't want to ask him for a refill so I tried to ignore the fact I maybe needed it.
After a year or so I moved in with my grandparents. They didn't know how to deal with my mood swings, they didn't want to encourge me to use razors on my body but they were willing to stand by me and my feelings they were willing to try. I really put them through a lot. I wasn't only dealing with PCOS but I was also dealing with feeling abandond from my parents and dealing with the aftermath of child abuse (which is another story).
Now here I am at 23 and soon to be married to the man of my dreams. He has a daughter but I really want kids of our own. He's willing to support me and work hard to have kids. He's amazing! First comes love ... then comes marriage... then come a baby in a baby carriage right? Ha. Ha. Yeah Right.

Thanks for listening. I hope I was able to catch you up. Stay tuned for more blogs to come... My name is Jessi and this is my story. My story of struggles with PCOS, weight management, diabeteis, and infertility.
